WestShore Centre for Learning & Training offers
courses and programs twelve months of the year.

Provincial e-exams will be the week of August
9. E-exams are all done on the Internet on computers.
Fast Track DL Summer Program
This summer, students
attend face to face sessions with a teacher as well
as complete online or paper-based assignments each
day. A limited number of courses are available during
summer school term. Because many of these courses
are pre-requisites for post-secondary or provincially
examable courses, the work load is intense. Students
should expect to spend a minimum of 5 hours per
day (in class and homework) on each course.

Distributed Learning / Online this Summer
Online support is available this summer.
Start any JDFDL online or paper-based course before June 25 and continue over the summer.
As a student in the Distributed Learning program, you can expect to:
- Attend a mandatory group orientation to help you understand online learning.
- Complete the Online Learning Strategies course within the allotted time.
- Develop a course schedule under the guidance of your teacher.
- Drop into the Learning Support Storefront for assistance
- Communicate regularly with your teacher - at least once every two weeks.
- Work at your own rate to meet your learning goals.
DL Learning Support is available

10 am to 2 pm, from July 5 to August 5
Summer Completion Program
For Students in Grades 9 to 12
Students complete learning packages to achieve a higher or passing grade in a
course previously attempted at their current school.
Students attend scheduled learning support sessions,
from July 5 - Aug 5, or until they have completed their assignments.
All course packages must be completed and returned no later than Aug. 5.

Learning Support
Drop in for learning support this summer.
Students enrolled in the Completion Program are required to attend tutorials at the Learning Support Storefront at 814 Goldstream Ave, Room 102/103 from July 5 to August 5, or until they have completed all their assignments.

Registration
- Students who are returning to school in Sept 2010 should see their school counsellor to complete a Cross-Enrolled Student Learning Plan by June 25th.
Cross-Enrolment Registration
Form . School counsellors and parents must sign.
- Students not returning to their secondary school in Sept 2010 must make an appointment with the WestShore academic advisor, before June 25th.
- Students are required to leave a post-dated cheque or credit card# for $100 to cover any textbooks required. These post-dated payments are processed if the textbooks are not returned within two weeks of completing or withdrawing.
- All final marks for cross-enrolled students are forwarded to their home school.
